2nd Annual B2B Executive seminar GET IT TOGETHER – Go Beyond the Dynamic Datacenter -

Tuesday October 20th the second edition of the annual B2B GET IT TOGETHER seminar was held in the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

More than 200 attendees enjoyed a spectacular line-up of speakers, both local as well as international.

After the opening of the event by Infotrans Managing Director Joost Giebels en Stimul-IT Director Monique Raphaela, Maurice Adriaens, Director of Curaçao Airport Holding kicked-off with the opening presentation ‘Not even the sky is the limit’. Supported by amazing visualizations, Maurice told about historical cases of great accomplishments of mankind by thinking out of the box and going beyond imagination. He shared the plans of Airport City, where huge developments will be done in the nearby future, among them the Curacao Space Port (CSE), that will bring business opportunities to all companies on our beautiful island. For almost an hour the audience was amazed by this inspiring presentation.

After this, three ICT world leading companies presented their latest technological development and their shared solution, the FlexPod (Dynamic datacenter-) solution: A solution that combines Cisco servers and switches, NetApp centralized Storage and VMware virtualization software into one optimized solution that comes with integrated support.

Cisco did a presentation on: Datacenter Center Business Advantage. In this they introduced their new server line and showed that Cisco servers have better performance, are easier to maintain and cost less. They also explained their role in the FlexPod solution and showed how companies can profit from this solution.

Adistec / VMWare presented ‘Virtualize everything’. In this powerful presentation they showed what VMware can bring to companies, how they can reduce cost and increase performance and above all reduce time-to-market of new functionality by setting up a new server in less than 15 minutes.

NetApp and Avnet presented ‘Flexible and efficient storage solutions. They showed the NetApp portfolio and how companies can do more with less. NetApp showed that they are becoming the world leader on storage and back-up solutions that give companies enormous advantages and flexibility.

Last but not least, Mr. Anthony de Lima from Curaçao Technology Exchange (CTEX) presented ‘Globalization 2.0, Challenges and technology implications’. Anthony shared his wide knowledge and vision on global IT development and explained the plans of CTEX. He showed what the facility will look like and how it will bring to business to Curaçao.

The seminar was a big success according to the attendees, who overall rated the event with an average of 9 on a scale of 1 – 10.
